Service Description

Using found materials, plus ink and charcoal we will experiment with mark-making techniques used by Van Gogh. Pattern, line and form will be our focus, working in monochrome, and contrasting delicate detail and dramatic gestural movement. No previous drawing experience is necessary and all materials are provided. As with all my workshops I will have a few tricks up my sleeve to support less confident creative types to get the most out of the session and unlock new skills. Camping stools will be provided as will drawing boards. Weather allowing this is intended as an outdoor hiking workshop so you should dress appropriately. The materials we will use are messy so please don’t wear clothes that would not be improved by ink stains! This workshop is currently being offered during the summer months due to weather constraints but it can be adapted for colder months. If you cannot see a date that suits you on the bookable schedule please contact the studio directly to arrange a bespoke class for your small group on a date that works for you.
