Service Description

Using found materials, plus ink and charcoal we will experiment with mark-making techniques used by Van Gogh. Pattern, line and form will be our focus, working in monochrome, and contrasting delicate detail and dramatic gestural movement. No previous drawing experience is necessary and all materials are provided. As with all my workshops I will have a few tricks up my sleeve to support less confident creative types to get the most out of the session and unlock new skills. Camping stools will be provided as will drawing boards. Weather allowing this is intended as an outdoor hiking workshop so you should dress appropriately. The materials we will use are messy so please don’t wear clothes that would not be improved by ink stains! I only offer this service as a bespoke workshop. It is suitable for a group of 4-6 people and can be held at a number of outdoor venues (to be discussed). This workshop is usually offered during the Summer months due to weather constraints but it can also be adapted for colder Spring and Autumn months and can be adapted to work as part of a retreat or celebration, etc. Please contact the studio directly to arrange a bespoke workshop for your small group on a date that works for you.
