Indigo Studio is a working artist's studio selling original artworks by Lisa Howard. We also host seasonal craft, printmaking and drawing workshops at select host venues across the north of England.

Lisa Howard is a printmaker, illustrator, sculptor, photographer and freelance arts educator.
Working primarily with botanical subjects and found objects, Lisa creates one-of-a-kind artworks that harness natural and seasonal creative processes.

Capturing nature with natural processes is central to what we do. We therefore use sustainable materials such as recycled cotton and botanical hand-dyed papers and non-toxic, water based inks. Plants and feathers are ethically sourced or gathered in the forest and cyanotype printing is a natural creative process harnessing the sun's energy. We also work with local artisans and manufacturers to supply the best art and craft materials at our workshops to ensure that you too can enjoy creating sustainably.

Workshops

At Indigo Studio we believe in supporting creativity and sharing our knowledge and expertise with others. We therefore offer seasonally inspired creative workshops to suit all abilities from printmaking and drawing to paper sculpture and traditional craft techniques.

You can join a scheduled workshop at a local venue or discuss a bespoke session for your group or event on a day of your choosing. Please contact for further information.
